Europe Winter Trip - Part 3

Paris – France

We took a night train (Trenitalia) from Rome to Paris, so NOT Recommended. We got an aching body as we woke up in the morning.

Day 1: Versailles Palace

It was really such a beautiful palace, too bad I couldn’t really enjoy it as it was very CROWDED.
Plus, I had to hold in for a couple of hours as I wanted to pee but there was no public toilet inside the palace :(

Day 2 – Whole day tour to

Louvre – definitely has to go back there! We didn’t have enough time to explore the whole collections.

then we took Seine river shuttle to

Eiffel Tower – including lunch at 58 Eiffel Tower restaurant

Notre Dame

It takes 200 years to build this church

Day 3 – DISNEYLAND

Finallyyyyyy... I've waited my whole life for this day to come, hihihi....

Amsterdam – Netherlands

We went to Amsterdam with Thalys.

Ko Johnson, Siska’s cousin, picked us up and took us to Mercure Hotel.

Later that nite, ci Faridah (Ko Johnson’s wife) joined us, then we had dinner at New King restro, located in the China Town area.

Around the neighbourhood, we passed by a number of coffee shops that offer various cannabis products. I hated the smell of the cannabis though, it gave me a little headache.

We also passed by Red Light District - it’s a selected area for legalized prostitution. Many women posed behind the glass door of a small one bedroom apt, illuminated by a red light.

The next day, We spent the day by visiting cheese factory,

wooden shoe factory in Marken,

Volendam,

City tour – you’ll find lots of cyclist in this city ,

Madame Tussauds museum.

This city has brought back old memories about my oma and kung kung. The little statue of a Holland girl, a plate with windmill pattern on it, etc... It made me realized that the main home decorations at my grandparent’s house are originated from Amsterdam.

Ooo, and another thing, the pancake! It reminded me so much of my oma’s pancakes – which of course – taste better! *I miss them both*

On our last day, Ko Johnson invited all of us to have dinner at his place, ci Farida cooked us a very lovely dinner. Dank ye!
