PUZZLE

I work in Finance Department, and about a month ago, I was trusted with a new role.
I was glad as it’s a new challenge , but I felt so uneasy when I first started it. I hated being told to do something just for the sake of doing it. I needed to know the reason why I did the journal, where did the spreadsheet linked to, what effect would it caused if I missed to put the correct cost centre, and so on...

My boss could smell my anxiety. She sat me down and told me, “Mia, you just got into this role for 3 weeks, don’t stress out if you haven’t got all the missing pieces together. It’s just like a PUZZLE. At the end of the day, they’ll all come together. Now you’re getting the outer edge, the easy part, there’s a big hole missing. Give it SOME TIME, eventually the last pieces will be there!”

Ha! Who would’ve thought... *My impatience is holding me back.*

It’s one thing to have the enthusiasm and eagerness to master the job the best that I can, it’s another thing to get upset just because I can’t have what I want, the way I want it, when I want it - NOW.

Here’s a thought.

Let’s say, we are trying to put together 1000 pieces PUZZLE of the solar system.
We get so excited to arrange the sun and other planets in place, but it can be so frustrating when we start to work on the black pieces. It’s just plain black! We turn it right and left, move it up and down, and we still got no clue where do these pieces belong?

If we force 1 piece of that puzzle in, maybe we can get it to counterfeit, but all the other pieces are gonna be messed up.
But if we give it some time to work on it, the puzzle will finally be completed. In its beautiful complete piece, we realize we can’t miss the black ones as they are parts of it.

Things happen. We appreciate and cherish the good ones. We dread and ponder why God let the the dark ones occur?

While we’re busy demanding all the explanations, God is trying to tell us that it’s OK not to always have the answers to everything.

He gives us His blueprint bit by bit so that we can learn to count on Him.

If we just trust Him, at the end of the day, we’ll find out that each pieces play its own roles to fit into His Master Plan.
